Creating Your First Composition
- A Composition (Comp) is your canvas — like an Artboard in Illustrator.
- Creating a Comp:
- • File → New → Composition (or Ctrl+N)
- Common Settings:
- • Instagram Square: 1080×1080, 30fps
- • Instagram Story/Reel: 1080×1920, 30fps
- • YouTube/HD: 1920×1080, 30fps
- • 4K: 3840×2160, 30fps
- Duration:
- • Logo animations: 5-10 seconds
- • Social ads: 15-30 seconds
- • Explainers: 60-90 seconds
- Frame Rate:
- • 30fps for social media (standard)
- • 24fps for cinematic look
- • 60fps for smooth motion
Importing Assets
- What You Can Import:
- • Images (PNG, JPG, PSD)
- • Videos (MP4, MOV)
- • Audio (MP3, WAV)
- • Illustrator files (AI)
- • Photoshop files (PSD — layers preserved!)
- How to Import:
- • File → Import → File (Ctrl+I)
