How Machines Are Trained? What is a Model?

A Model is an AI that has already been trained. Think of it like a student who studied hard, passed the exam, and is now ready to do the job. Before training it is just an empty system. After training it becomes a Model — capable of making decisions on its own.

Training a machine is simple in concept. You show it examples. You label them. It finds patterns. You repeat until it gets good. Then you save it — and that saved version is your Model.

Google Teachable Machine is a free platform that lets you train a real AI model in your browser — no code needed. Collect examples, hit Train, and in seconds you have a working AI. This is the same technology behind Google Photos, Face ID, and self-driving cars.

Key Term (Model): A trained AI system that has learned from data and can now make predictions or decisions on its own.
