What is Vibe Coding?

For decades, building software required one thing above everything else — the ability to write code. Python. JavaScript. C++. If you did not know these languages, you were locked out. You had an idea but no way to build it.

Vibe Coding unlocks that door. Coined by Andrej Karpathy — co-founder of OpenAI — on February 6, 2025, it describes a process where the developer fully gives in to the vibes, focusing entirely on the vision and goal while AI handles every line of code underneath.

The future belongs to Creators — not exclusively to Programmers. If you have an idea and can describe it clearly, you can now build it. That is Vibe Coding.
